Boat details

The Catalac 8M is a pocket cruising catamaran which has a solid reputation for quality, strength and durability. Many of the boats found in North America today, were sailed there from Great Britain. The Catalac 8M, although classified as a pocket cruiser was designed with Catalac 8M blue water sailing in mind. Twin diesel models can easily motor almost 1000 kilometers without refueling. The 70 amps of charging and 70 gallons of stock water tanks in the Catalac 8M and 9M make even these smaller boats terrific coastal cruisers. Constructed with solid fiberglass hulls, these are quality boats which were built like battleships.

Chuck Kanter calls them one of the catamaran brands that live on through the decades.

Standing rigging replaced 2016.

Main cabin has large seating area with table which can be used 2 single berths, Port side single berth, Chart storage, Storage areas, Forward heads with chemical toilet (2017), Sink with cold pressurised water.
Starboard side long galley area with sink and cold water, Plastimo Neptune 2500 2x gas burner and oven, Waco fridge freezer, Storage areas, Forward double berth in separate cabin, Wet lockers.


Navigation equipment: Garmin GPS map 451, Plastimo offshore 95 compass, Clipper duet speed log, Clipper navtex, Clipper Wind indicator, Steering wheel steering.
Auto pilot.

Safety equipment: Manual bilge pump, Flares, Fire extinguishers, First aid kit, Fire blanket

Deck equipment: Large deck area with easy walk around side decks with anti-slip, Cockpit area with C-shaped seating and storage under, Helm position to port with single helm seat, Dinghy davits, Self draining decks, Forward deck area with 3 in floor storage lockers, 2x anchors with chain and warp, Lines and fenders.
Mast rewired with new VHF aerial and new deck glands.
